Your weekly shot of ride inspo, rebel energy, and just enough chaos to get you out the door.
Whether you're dodging deadlines, ditching the desk, or dreaming of dirt — this one’s for you.

📸 Where We Were Unbound – Heffron CX & Spoken Show

Heffron CX Nationals – Dirt, Drama & Domination

Sydney turned on the sunshine and the chaos for Rounds 3 & 4 of the AusCycling National Cyclo-Cross Series at Heffron Park (June 21–22). Two courses, two days, one hell of a vibe — and yeah, it was all put together by our very own Robbie Allen. Legend.

Massive shoutout to Hydraplay, Quattro Coffee, and Happy As Larry Pizza — the real MVPs behind the scenes making this whole event look and feel pro. Race hard, sip strong, eat fast. Repeat.

🧠 Course Vibes & Coastal Curveballs

Saturday’s “Fun n’ Flowy” was rhythm-heavy with sand pits, shrubbery, and sneaky tech — riders needed finesse and flow.
Sunday’s “Reverse Tough n’ Techy” amped up the pain with off-cambers, sand traps, and a wind that didn’t give a damn.

📢 Big Love, Big Thanks:
To all who raced, cheered, heckled, or just came for the pizza — you made it a weekend to remember.
And once more — massive props to Robbie Allen for running the entire show. From course tape to podium tape, the man doesn’t miss a beat.

Next stop: Ballarat in August for the National Series finale.

SPOKEN 2025 – Sydney Bike Culture on Full Send

Carriageworks turned into a rolling love letter to bikes, beer, and banter over the June 20–22 weekend. SPOKEN 2025 nailed the vibe — relaxed, raw, and buzzing with two-wheeled energy.

Over 75 brands and builders packed the joint, from boutique frame wizards to big hitters like Pinarello and Look. Standouts for me?

  • 🔥 SRAM’s new Force and Rival XPLR — game-changing gravel tech (blog drop coming)
  • 🔥 Maxxis Tyres — rubber royalty doing it right

The crowd? Legends everywhere. Old mates, young shredders, curious newbies — all talking bikes, sharing stoke, and soaking up the scene.

I’ll be back next year. You should be too.

🚀 Where We Will Be Unbound

Coluzzi Saturdays – Sydney’s OG Bunch Ride

If you ride a road bike in Sydney and haven’t been dropped on Coluzzi, do you even ride?

Rolling out at 6:20am sharp from Darlinghurst, this bunch isn’t just a ride — it’s a weekly pilgrimage with pace, pain, and post-ride espresso.

  • The Route: Waterfall out-and-back, with a detour into the Royal National Park if you’re feeling spicy.
  • The Pace: Medium-hard, with spikes of madness.
  • The Vibe: Fast, respectful, and skill-sharpening.

Tips for First Timers:

  • Be early.
  • Stick in — getting dropped is a rite of passage.
  • Ride smooth. No half-wheeling. No hero moves.

🔥 Gear We Love

SRAM just opened a massive can of Whoop Ass on Shimano in the gravel space with its new Rival and Force XPLR Groupsets.

Shimano seemed to panic-launch a new GRX Di2 to keep up… but it’s still a year behind.
